The Life of God

Paul said, “In due course death will be swallowed up by life.” But I think there’s a process of ongoing death in our bodies—sickness, decay, and so on—which can be swallowed up by the life of God day by day.

Paul said, “Though our outward man perishes, our inward man is renewed day by day.” And there’s enough life in the inward man to keep the outward man going until our task is finished. Amen.
