If there’s no judgment, actually there’s no need for forgiveness. If we leave out judgment, we don’t have an issue for forgiveness. “Truly these times of ignorance God overlooked, but now commands all men everywhere to repent. Because He has appointed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness.” Why do we need to repent? Because we’re going to face the judgment of God -- all of us, without exception. And if we don’t respond to the gospel it will be a very sad day for us.
