Being Bought Back

There are seven major ways in which the New Testament reveals the blood of Jesus works for us.

The first is redemption.

“Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible or perishable things like silver or gold from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of Christ.”

“In Him”—that’s Jesus—“we have redemption through His blood.”

Redemption means being bought back. We were in the hands of the devil. Jesus bought us back with His blood.
