I do believe that God is requiring His people to change their standard and their attitude in connection with marriage. I believe it’s different and higher than most of us have imagined or understood. One of the great problems, I think, for us as Christians in ascertaining the will and the mind of God is getting emptied of religious traditions. I think that’s one of the hardest things. It’s not so hard to appreciate the truth, it’s hard to get rid of the error that in many cases you’ve grown up with or had imparted to you through a religious association.
