Mission and Impact
Although Laos is a communist state, nearly 65% of the population practice Buddhism, with Christians making up just 1.7%. Religious freedom is restricted, with churches often under surveillance. Laotian believers face physical attacks and expulsion from their families for following Christ. The need for spiritual nourishment is great, as most house churches lack trained pastors, and Bible teaching materials are often smuggled in due to printing risks.
Derek Prince Ministries is committed to equipping pastors, leaders, and believers with Bible teaching resources in their own language, providing a firm biblical foundation. We offer freely available online resources and, when possible, connect with churches to hold training events, introducing them to the Lao website containing books, Teaching Letters, and proclamation cards. Through these efforts, we aim to strengthen the faith and resilience of Laotian Christians, bringing hope and the message of Jesus Christ.
