To apply your heart is to be diligent in seeking to understand and take in all that God wants to say to you. And it requires time. You cannot really apply your heart to anything without giving time to it. And most of you, dear brothers and sisters, do not give enough time to the Bible. That’s one of your root causes. As I’ve said, if you’d exchange the amount of time you spent in front of the television set for the amount of time you spend with the Bible and make them opposite, you’d be amazed how spiritual you’d be. Very little that builds your faith or brings you the knowledge of God comes through the television set.
