He that hath pity upon the poor lendeth unto the Lord, and that which he hath given to the poor, the Lord will pay him again. That’s very important. When we give to the poor with right motives with faith that works by love, we’re giving to the poor but we’re lending to the Lord. And the Bible guarantees that what we’ve lent to the Lord, the Lord will pay us back. And I want to tell you on the basis of both observation and personal experience, the Lord pays very high rates of interest on what we lend to Him when we give to the poor. So bear that in mind. Helping the poor is lending to the Lord.
