            Kalmar nan "baratarwa" wata kalma ce mai wahala a fannin ilimin addini wadda ma'anarta ta asali sau da yawa na duhunce. Da farko za mu dubi kalmar, sa’an nan zan yi ƙoƙarin bayyana ma'anar ta. Babban jigon littafin Romawa shi ne adalci. Ƙarni da dama da suka gabata, Ayuba ya yi tambaya:

            "Ta yaya mutum zai iya zama mai adalci a gaban Allah?" (Ayuba 25:4)

            Littafin Romawa na gabatar da amsar da Allah ya bayar. Idan muna son adalci, za mu so littafin Romawa. Yesu ya ce:

            “Ma su albarka ne waɗanda suke yunwata suna ƙishirta zuwa adalci: gama za a ƙosad da su” (Matiyu 5:6)

            Zai yiwu mu ji yunwa da ƙishirwa domin warkarwa ko arziki ba tare da samun albarka ba. Amma idan muka ji yunwa da ƙishirwa domin

            adalci, to, za mu sami albarka.

            "Balle fa yanzu, baratattu ne ta wurin jininsa, za mu tsira daga fushin Allah ta wurin sa." (Romawa 5:9)

            Ka lura cewa an baratar da mu ta wurin jininsa. A cikin harsunan Ibraniyanci da Helenanci, akwai kalma guda ɗaya da ake fassara ta ko dai “adali” ko “mai adalci.” A cikin Ibraniyanci, kalmar ita ce tsadaq, kuma a cikin Helenanci, ita ce dikaioō. Amma duk yadda aka fassara ta, kalma ɗaya ce. A cikin Turanci, muna yawan danganta baratarwa a wurin doka da shari'a, amma adalci kuma a wurin hali da ɗabi’a. Babu irin wannan rarrabuwa a cikin harsunan Littafi Mai Tsarki. “An baratar da mu ta wurin jininsa” na nufin abu ɗaya da “an mai da mu masu adalci ta wurin jininsa.”
