First of all, it was God who decided that Adam was to have a wife. The decision was made solely by God. It wasn’t something Adam asked for; it wasn’t something Adam understood. And I want to tell you this, I don’t believe any man understands what marriage is like before he gets married. All right. Fact number two, it was God who formed Eve for Adam. Fact number three, it was God who brought Eve to Adam. Fact number four, it was God who determined the nature and purpose of their relationship. I believe that in the marriage of God’s believing children, every one of those principles should always apply.
