Dear Friend,
When people think of Eastern Europe today, they might picture beautiful old cities, hardworking people, and strong traditions. But behind this perception lies a reality many never see — families still living under the shadow of Communism; societies marked by poverty and brokenness; and hearts weighed down by spiritual oppression.
In this region of thirteen nations — each with its own language and culture — there is a shared history of hardship, repression, and moral confusion. Added to this is the ongoing war in Ukraine, making daily life feel even heavier. The economic strain is real. The constant threat of violence is real. Without question, fear is stealing peace from people’s lives.
But in the middle of this darkness, God is bringing light, freedom, and hope through the work of DPM-Eastern Europe and its national leaders. Through your involvement, you are joining with us to play a vital role in our work here.
Anita’s Story: From Curse to Blessing

Anita grew up in southern Poland. Her earliest memories are filled with shouting, poverty, and constant feelings of being unwanted and rejected.
By the age of fourteen, Anita’s family had completely fallen apart. Her father, trapped in alcoholism, walked out and abandoned the family. Social services placed Anita and her younger siblings in a children’s home. She arrived there as the oldest child — feeling the crushing weight of responsibility no teenager should ever have to bear.
“I remember looking at my friends at school,” she recalls, “realizing they had loving parents, nice homes, and enough to eat. In stark contrast, we always had deprivation. I started to believe that God must be punishing me—or even worse, that He took pleasure in making me suffer.”
A Darker Path
This bitter view of God followed Anita into adulthood. “I remember walking down the streets of Stalowa Wola one day, thinking, ‘God, you are horrible. Does it really make You happy to put all these problems and burdens on top of me?’”
Searching for something more, she turned to occult practices — séances, horoscopes, spiritual rituals — thinking she might discover some answers. Instead, all Anita found was bondage.
“The demons claimed rights to me,” she says. “They tormented me in ways I can hardly describe. I was ready to end my life.”
The Turning Point
At her lowest point, God sent a friend into Anita’s life who was a believer. At first, their conversations were simply casual. Soon, however, her new friend spoke to her about the love of Jesus Christ.
Then, by what she calls “God’s accident,” Anita picked up a copy of Derek Prince’s book, Blessing or Curse: You Can Choose. As she read, everything began to change.
“I understood for the first time what Jesus really did for me on the Cross — the exchange that took place. All my dirt, all my sin, all my burdens, were nailed there with Him. I realized that He became a curse so I wouldn’t have to live under one.”
Anita began to apply the truths she was learning — praying, declaring Jesus’ redemption over her life, and asking for freedom.
Today, Anita and her husband run a successful business. They also serve actively in their church. Anita regularly shares her testimony to encourage others that God’s love is practical, His power is real, and His Word brings freedom.
Meeting the Needs of Many
Stories like Anita’s are why Derek Prince Ministries exists in Eastern Europe.
From Poland to Bulgaria, from Romania to Croatia, our teams are translating Derek Prince’s Bible teaching into the heart languages of the people of the nations of Eastern Europe. We are providing his messages through books, online courses, radio programs, and videos. In some countries, Derek’s materials are the only solid Bible teaching believers can find.
The need in Eastern Europe is urgent, and we are working constantly to meet it. Why? Because in these nations, spiritual bondage is a reality. Occult practices, superstitions, and generational curses keep people trapped and downtrodden.
Even so, in the midst of these challenges, we see over and over again that when people encounter God’s Word, their lives change. Bondages break. Families heal. Hope rises.
Coming to Their Aid
With your help, DPM’s work of healing, restoration, and deliverance can increase throughout Eastern Europe. Your gift today will help countless people like Anita to discover life-changing truth. As we work together, we can see families restored, curses broken, and hope arising again across this region of the world — in Poland, Ukraine, Serbia, Albania, and other nations.
A gift of just $25 can put Derek’s transformative teaching into the hands of someone searching for truth. Every $50 can equip a small group with the resources they need to teach their members how to grow in faith. A gift of $100 can help to translate and broadcast Bible teaching to thousands. The challenges we face are great — but the Gospel is greater. This is our moment to bring freedom to those who are imprisoned in darkness.
Anita says it best: “The power of the blood of Jesus is real. You don’t have to accept the devil’s reign in your life. Resist him — and he will flee.”
Please prayerfully consider giving a generous gift today — whether $25, $50, $100, or more — to equip believers, break chains, and spread hope across Eastern Europe.
Every gift makes a difference. Every prayer matters. Every life is worth it.
With gratitude in Christ,

P.S. Anita’s testimony is just one example of what God is doing here. But there are thousands more waiting to be reached. Please give today and help set the captives free.
