Hope is one of the most beautiful words in any language. Hope in the heart gives patience and strength to endure hardship, calamity and all the other pressures that come against us in life. It does not give us a by-pass around them, but it gives us the strength to go through them. On the other hand, hopelessness saps initiative, strength and the very will to live. To be without hope in this life is tragic. But to be without hope in death is the ultimate tragedy. But that’s not the fate of the soul committed to Jesus.
