Commitment to Jesus Christ produces a direct and personal relationship with Him for which there is no substitute. This relationship is described in many passages of Scripture. One of the most beautiful and the most familiar is Psalm 23, the Shepherd’s Psalm. David so beautiful unfolds the nature of this relationship. He says The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall lack nothing. Isn’t that total security? That one verse really says everything that needs to be said about security and it’s based on a personal relationship with the Lord.
